DILLSBURG – To help connect veterans with valuable services, Rep. Dawn Keefer (R-York/Cumberland) will host a forum for veterans at the Guy E. Shelley Jr. American Legion Post No. 974, 352 Marsh Run Road, in New Cumberland from 4:30-6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 8.

“Veterans, their families and caregivers are encouraged to attend this free event so they can learn more about services available to the brave men and woman who wore our country’s uniform,” Keefer said. “We owe them all a debt of gratitude. I hope veterans of the 92nd District come out to this forum.”

Terry Gendron, director of York County Veterans Affairs, will provide information on benefits; Michael Bernhardt, director of mobility services with Rabbit Transit, will discuss transportation services to the Lebanon VA center from Camp Hill; and an officer from the American Legion will talk about services the organization renders.

There will be light refreshments provided by the Guy E. Shelley Jr. American Legion Post. Though this event is geared toward veterans, the public is welcome to stop by to thank veterans for their service.

For more information, please call Keefer’s office at (717) 432-0792.
